Contemporary painter, Brooklyn, New York
Nature as an expression of divine order
Claire Price is a Brooklyn-based painter known for her luminous acrylic works that meditate on nature, performance & mysticism. Born in Auckland, New Zealand in 1975, she studied Fine Art at Canterbury University in Christchurch, majoring in photography, an early foundation that continues to shape her painterly eye.
Price’s creative path has been nomadic and multidisciplinary. She lived and worked in Paris and London as a fashion photographer and was also a signed singer-songwriter, experiences that infuse her paintings with an unmistakable sense of drama, rhythm, and visual poise.
For the last ten years, she has focused exclusively on painting, working from her studio in Brooklyn. Central to Price’s practice is a deep reverence for nature as the great architect—an autonomous system of intelligence and order. Her paintings emerge from sustained engagement with this premise, positioning the natural world not as subject, but as origin and authority.
Her paintings have been exhibited and collected internationally, and she has cultivated a growing audience of collectors attuned to work that balances beauty with divine order.

Artist Statement
My work is rooted in a reverence for nature as an expression of divine order. I approach painting as a form of attunement — a way of listening to the intelligence embedded within the natural world and translating it into visual form. Botanical structures, ecosystems, and recurring patterns become portals through which I explore the underlying architecture that governs growth, harmony, and life itself.
Rather than representing nature as scenery, I seek to reveal it as a living system — intelligent, ordered, and infused with meaning. Through color, rhythm, and material presence, my paintings invite contemplation and stillness, offering the viewer an encounter with nature not as an external subject, but as a reflection of a greater cosmic whole to which we belong.
